Your First Consultation
When you arrive for your first appointment, the receptionist will fill out patient details and ask you for a completed medical history form.
Parents of young children are encouraged to attend this appointment and in fact are most welcome at all subsequent appointments. Usually a first consultation will take 20 to 40 minutes. It is most unlikely that any other treatment will be undertaken at this appointment but sometimes it is necessary to take a radiograph (X-ray) to assist in diagnosis.
After your first appointment, a report is usually sent to the referring dentist. If there are any aspects of your Orthodontic care that you wish to have clarified after you have left our office, please do not hesitate to phone us. Most of these enquiries can be readily handled by our reception staff. Should you find it necessary to speak to your orthodontist, he will happily respond to your call as soon as his appointment schedule permits.
